Peter Fath has been Chief Technology & Marketing Officer and Member of the Management Board of Centrotherm photovoltaics AG since May 2008.

Dr. Fath Co-founded SolMic GmbH in 2005 and serves as its Managing Director. He is also the Founder of GP Solar Gmbh and serves as its Managing Director. He serves as Director of Industrial Relations of International Solar Energy Research Center Konstanz e.V.

Dr. Fath has many years of experience within the field of the Photovoltaic ... with focus on solar cell development, process technology, wafer and solar cell production, material and device analysis. He served as a Director of Photovoltaic Technology Research of University of Konstanz, Germany. He served as Head of the Photovoltaic Research Group at the University of Constance.

Dr. Fath's Research Groups have made seminal contributions in high-efficiency multicrystalline silicon solar cell research including 17% efficient large area cells using buried contact cell processing, 14.8% efficient large area back contact emitter wrap through cell, and advanced in line processing and characterization tools. He serves as a Member of the Technical Advisory Board for Advent Solar, Inc. He lectures in solid state and semiconductor physics. He is an Author and Co-author of over 170 publications and 15 patents within the range Photovoltaic. He has 7 national and international awards for his publications in the field of Photovoltaic.

Dr. Fath has a PhD in Semiconductor Physics at the University of Constance, Germany.
