Florian joined McKinsey & Company in 2000 after one year of investment banking in the US. Taking over the technology department at Q-Cells in 2006, Florian joined the management board of Q-Cells at the end of 2006 as CTO.

In 2008, Florian took over the responsibility of the technology portfolio of Q-Cells, managing various companies (Calyxo, Solibro, Sunfilm, Flexcell, Solaria) through the PV downturn in 2009.

Since beginning of 2010 he joined to Calyxo as CEO.
